Dehradun Marathon 2017

Greetings from Uttarakhand Police!
We take immense pleasure in inviting you to be a part of the Dehraddun Marathon 2017 on Sunday, Dec. 17th, 2017
Thank you for participating in Dehradun Marathon 2016 organized by Uttarakhand Police last year in December.
The first edition of the event was a massive success with about 24,000 runners participating in various categories, to raise awareness on fighting corruption and drugs.
The event was flagged off by Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, who was a witness to thousands of people taking a stand against corruption and drugs.
This year, we are back with the second edition of Dehradun Marathon 2017, this time, running for road safety.
The number of road accidents in India is twice as much as in China. This is despite the fact that China exceeds India by 99 million in terms of people and vehicles.
Shocked? About 400 people die on Indian roads every day, making the country notorious for the world's highest fatalities in road accidents.
Let us run together in Dehradun Marathon 2017 on 17th December to encourage road safety and following traffic rules to keep our roads risk-free!
We have 2 distances, 21km and 7km, all ages are welcome!
